Many horse racing legends can trace their bloodlines back to the original breeding stock trained at Belle Meade plantation. Today the mansion offers tours, weddings and event packages and is open to the public.

The Cheekwood Mansion and Botanic Gardens is also located in Belle Meade. This beautiful 55-acre estate with a botanical garden and mile-long sculpture trail includes a learning center along with the Museum of Art's revolving exhibits. The mansion hosts many different activities for adults and children alike.
